The Tihar

    Tihar is one of the greatest festivals of Hindus. It generally falls in on the month of Kartik. This festival is also called Deepawali and the festival of Light. People clean their rooms and houses during this festival. Brothers from far places come to their sisters during this festival. They enjoy a lot by playing cards, eating delicious food playing swing, playing deusi and bhailo and
so on.
    The Tihar festival is observed for five days which is called Yama Panchak. The first day of Tihar is "Kag Tihar". People worship the crow as their messenger on this day. The second day of the Tihar is "Kukur Tihar". People worship the dog on this day. They put red tika on its forehead and also a garland around its neck. They also give delicious food to them.

    Similarly, the third day of Tihar is "Gai Tihar" or "Laxmi Puja". In the morning, we worship the cow. We give it delicious food. In the evening, people light candles and diyos on their houses. People clean the decorate their houses. Thee enjoy it very much on this day. The fourth day of Tihar is "Gobardhan Puja". People worship oxen on this day.
        The fifth day and the last day of Tihar is Bhai Tika. Sisters worship their brother on this day. Sister put seven different colors on the forehead of their brothers. They put garlands around the neck of their brothers. They serve fruits, bread, and other delicious food to their brothers. On the other hand, brothers also put seven different colors on the forehead of their sisters and give them clothes and money as a gift. They enjoy the whole day by playing cards and swing.

    we should enjoy this festival. We should not spend money carelessly during this festival. We should be aware while playing fire
crakers.
